Williamsport Selection Process

Player Selection:

Voting by all the Major League Teams (1 vote per team). Each Major League Head Coach votes for top nine players. Team cannot vote for one of its own players. Top nine players who accumulate most votes are selected for team. In cases of ties at last positions - names of those tied are resubmitted for vote by all teams; in this case Team is permitted to vote for one of its own players.

Votes are due for submission to CYBSA President (Erik Golz) and board member (Chris Herman) by 6/12/10. Any tie breaking votes completed by 6/13/10. Team posted at day end on Wednesday (June 16th).

Voting is by private ballot.

Manager of Williamsport team selects the last two or three players for Williamsport team (Manager Decision on whether to carry 11 or 12 players).

Manager/Coaches:

Major League Managers/Coaches are eligible to coach/manage. Initially, we ask coaches and managers to ‘nominate' those that they think would be good candidates. We also offer all managers/coaches the opportunity to express their interest.

Each current major league managers vote for Williamsport Manager; each Board member also has a vote. Managers who are Board members have one vote. Voting is completed by 6/12/10 and submitted to Major League Coordinator. Manager is selected/notified on 6/13/10. Williamsport Manager selects "coach's choice" players and submits proposed assistant coaches to CYBSA President for approval no later than 6/14/10. Rosters posted and submitted to LLI 6/16/10.
