All-Star Game/Family Cookout

Join us next Saturday, June 12^th for the CYBSA Family Cookout and All-Star festivities.

Include some local Star Gazing Saturday night...

Baseball and Softball players, coaches, parents and fans, we are thrilled to announce this year's All-Star Game and Cookout. Once again, the Baseball All-Star game will be held under the lights at Barnes Field on Saturday, June 12^th. We have arranged to have several light towers delivered and set up for the All-Star weekend. We are still working through the details of the event but I wanted to provide everyone some highlights of what we have planned.

Saturday June 12^th: Family Cookout & Skills Competition

~ 10:00 - 1 PM - All-Star Competition for Baseball All-stars. Some of the events being planned include;

Homerun Derby
Hitting Contest
Golden Arm Contest
Timed run to around the bases
Other activities

Players will select a couple of event to compete in. Still some planning underway so some of these events may change.

All winners will be presented with an award.

~ 11:30AM until 1:30PM - CYBSA Family Cookout (the burgers, drinks and dogs are on us)

~2:30PM until 7:00 PM - Go to the beach with the family, mow the lawn, go fishing, be back at Barnes Field by 7:00PM for the All-Star Game under the lights...

The world famous CYBSA Snack Shack will be open from 1:30 PM until 9:00 PM serving gastronomic delights to all interested in dining and the fabulous Barnes Complex. CYBSA Coaches and volunteers (under the guidance of our Snack Shack Crew) will be offering a variety of food and refreshments throughout the day and evening.

Saturday June 12t^h, continued: All-Star Games; Softball and Baseball

~ 12:00 - 3:00 PM - Girls All-Star Softball Games on Freedom Field

~ 7:20 - 9:30 PM - Boys All-Star Baseball Game on Barnes Field (under the lights)

~ 9:30 - 10:00 PM - Clean up.

Lights out at 10 PM.

This will be an awesome event and we hope you will be able to join us in the celebration. Some of the details may change over the course of this week, please check the CYBSA website as we near the event.

Important Information for the Event:

Parking. The ball fields are located in a populated neighborhood. We hope that everyone has a wonderful time at this event and ask that you respect the privacy of the neighbors abutting the ball fields. Parking is provided at the ball field and at Wheelwright Park. Street side parking is prohibited and we anticipate that violators will be ticketed.
